Impactodeportivo

--------------
Manny Ramirez is the latest big name to be potentially linked to steroids by Jose Canseco.
Ramirez's name came up while Canseco was making a public appearance at USC, reported columnist Kurt Streeter of the Los Angeles Times.
Canseco's 2005 book, "Juiced," brought the issues of the steroid era to the forefront. Many of the players Canseco has connected to steroids since the publication of the book have since been found to be using performance-enhancing drugs, most notably Alex Rodriguez.
Canseco's suspicions of Ramirez, who has hit 527 career home runs, come from Ramirez's fruitless attempt to attract a long-term contract this offseason. Ramirez sought a four-year deal after hitting .396 with 17 homers and 53 RBIs in 53 games after he was traded from the Boston Red Sox to the Los Angeles Dodgers minutes before last year's deadline. Ramirez, 36, signed a two-year $45-million contract with the Dodgers this spring.
All this leads Canseco to believe that Ramirez is one of the 103 unnamed players who tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs in 2003 -- the same anonymous test that eventually yielded A-Rod's name in February. Canseco told the crowd at USC that Ramirez's name is "most likely on the list, 90 percent."
Streeter confronted Ramirez about the charges, but reported that Ramirez dismissed them, laughing them off and claiming to not even know Canseco.
